My car is 170 st 47k miles and ive noticed recently that tick over is sitting higher than normal and doesnt seem to be as sweet as normal... any one else had this or know if summits needing looked at.
Cheers

Sounds like it was doing a DPF regeneration.

My 170 would idle higher than normal and sound a bit different for about 15-20 minutes, then it would return to normal when the regen was finished.

If you're doing short journeys its probably doing it everytime you use it. If that is the case, take it for a long drive (at least 20 miles) once a month as DPFs are very expensive to replace when they clog up with soot!

Buy an OBD WiFi adapter and download VAG DPF (android only) the App is fantastic and shows you soot levels and when the last Regen was done. On average my Exeo regens every 250ish miles.

Have you had the "service action" carried out? There are reports increased regenerations and uneven idling after the new software has been installed.
