Cd changer help??

I have a leon cupra with the has standard 6 disc cd changer/sat nav thingy and when i put in cd's it sometimes recognises them and othertimes just says cd error or no cd???

I have tried cleaning the lens but still only plays some random cds when it feels like it


any ideas n e 1

There is a thread somewere on here about this. Off top of my head you need a cotton bud and some white spirit. remove the cd cartridge and wipe the 2 small plastic white wheels towards the back on the inside of the changer. Like new. It worked on mine anyway!!

hey hey, as above some say that its just muck clogging it up. It is a common issue and i'm sceptical as to whether or not it is just dust as i needed two replacements in less than 12 months

Sorry to thread hijack, but when I plug my CD changer into my Seat stereo it says 'phone'? Any ideas?

My CD changer doesn't always recognise all discs.
