cd changer help!

recently purchased a mk3 seat ibiza cupra T, it has the sony 6 cd changer in the boot but unfortunately it doesnt work. When I press the cd button on the main console a message (looks like an error message) comes up on the lcd screen saying MAGAZINE. I think there may be a problem with the changer. has this happened to anyone else? any ideas?

Yeah that means the actual CD unit isnt in the changer

its there, but it wont release. Just wondering if it had happened to anyone else and see how they cured it.

Yeah it has happened to me! What i mean is the bit inside the CD Changer where the CDs sit is either not in there or has been put in the wrong way around?

You need to slide the cover back and then press the little grey button on the side, the CD holder should pop out

mines been playing up since i got mine, if i go around a corner fast it crackles then goes off.
my sometimes displays error as well.

What when using the radio? What error do you get?

none. its only when the multichanger is been used, not too fused to be honest as most of it will be going when my install goes in. gonna build another and better then before sound off car with it.

no joy unfortunately, its as if the magazine is stuck in the magazine slot. tried to gently pull it out but it wont budge.

Hhmm it sounds like its got stuck in there

What about getting some plyers and giving it a tug either side? You may need to have the grey button pushed in too as your doing that

I may be wrong

its probably going to be worth a shot to be honest, if it all goes t!tts up i'll have to get another off ebay or somewhere.

How come? You need something to grab either side to be able to pull it out i its stuck?

should do, pretty sure I know where the fault is, just not quite sure what it is (if that makes any sense!). cheers again.

Failing that, whip it out of the car and take the cover off. May be able to see why its stuck.
