My 2004 Leon Cupra TDi has a wee fault. When unlocking the car via the remote fob only the drivers door opens. I have tried pressing the unlock button a few times but no joy. At the moment I'm using the unlock button on the drivers door.

Anyone help?

two clicks of the unlock button in quick succession(about one second apart) should open all the doors and the boot.one single click just unlocks the drivers door.

Hi rodger weve got the same problem with our cupra, this problem has been asked before does your rear washer work or is it wet in the back of your car they said it was because the electrics were wet in the boot...i took the tail gate cover off to check for water but was dry so we havent solved the problem yet....hope this helps....

Might be an obvious thing that you've already checked, but fuse box is always a good place to start with any electrical problems, especially if there's anything else electric not working in the car as it could be on the same circuit

My leon has just started doing exactly the same as you describe. Press the keyfob twice and only the drivers door unlocks.

Anyone manage to find out what the problem is?
(Rear wiper still works like normal)

Does your internal boot light work?

I blew mine once when I was trying to put a high powered festoon in, it killed 2 fuses and my central locking fekked up.

I had to re-program the key fob using the spare key method.

Mine had been doing that for a year !!!! - the drivers door always opens but sometimes the others dont !! - sometimes it does this for a month or so then its fine !!

Weird !!

Surprising as it may seem, it's worse in winter !!. Lately i have to press 4 times on the fob to open the drivers door. Also on occasions the fob doesn't work at all !! - i have to take the battery out then back in (it's a new battery). The only remedy is to open the car manually, with the key. But then the flashing door light keeps on flashing and if i don't get my key in the ignition within about 20 seconds then NEE NAW NEE NAW !! alarm goes off !. But i guess i'll have to live with that !

Regards,
Andy

as iv said elsewhere,iv managed to sort it out unknowingly. i was fiddling with the wiring in my car and had to disconnect my battery for about an hour.and once i put it back in,it started working again!
