Hi all I’m having a bit of an issue I’ve recently painted my wheels black so centre caps no longer match and don’t fancy painting them as not in amazing condition.

I’ve brought some centre caps from eBay but there just not fitting I’ve tired 60mm but it falls through the hole and I’ve tried 63mm but it doesn’t fit at all.

I’ve measured etc the hole is 60mm but the caps just don’t want to snap in anyone had this and had a solution which caps did u buy? Any help appreciated I’m set on the 60mm centre caps tho

You could easily sand, fill and spray your existing caps (I did) Or use some duct tape on the inside of the hole to make the loose caps fit (I did). Or (heresy) buy some genuine replacements.

The 60mm ones do kinda fit but the spring clip thing that supposed to hole it in just doesn’t make contact at all with the wheel

They don’t sell genuine ones or the kind I’m looking for I want the ones that don’t cover the wheel bolts just the centre part.

Cupra wheels are 57mm so won’t fit

Not sure if it helps, but I've replaced mine on 18" mk2 fr wheels, they were 62mm and readily available on ebay but in silver. My brother has the identical car with black wheels and managed to find some 62mm 'fr' centre caps. I can see 62mm plain gloss black caps are available on ebay or amazon, can you not get those and some 'seat S' decals and stick them onto a gloss black cap? Just a thought

Is that one the same wheels as mine? If so I’ll give them a try. It’s a odd one as when measured it’s 60mm bang on same with the caps I ordered.

Ordered 63 and were way to big it’s as if the centre 60mm was near perfect but the clips behind the cap doesn’t want to clip in if that makes sense

Right okay this makes sense now.

Those wheels don't use normal centre caps. they have the ones that have the wheel bolt covers on them too.

The reason you can't get normal centre caps to fit is because wheels that have the normal centre caps have a small recess a few millimetres deep at the centre of the wheel for the edge of the centre cap to fit into, so the surface of the cap is almost flush with the wheel.

Your wheels don't have that recess so I don't think you'll be able to get standard centre caps to fit properly... at least not ones meant for wheels with normal centre caps.

Yeah I tried to explain before but that’s on me for not explaining well enough. I really don’t like the standard ones as covers a lot of the wheel personal preference.

I was hoping there was a centre cap I could buy that would fit such wheel.

Unsure what a “normal wheel” recess looks like but these have a almost bevelled recess behind the original 60mm hole so thought it could work.

My hope was someone has In countered this issue before and had a solution!

First post from me here, but I've used the forum for a while and seen this question about these wheels being asked so many times. I got a set of these a while ago for a steal. Got them refurbed then realised that new centre caps cost more than the wheels did. So went to work finding some that would fit, bought these along with some 60mm Seat stickers:

Ended up looking great. Hope this helps.

yeah its works mate, got them on mine just now. Size detail is a bit misleading but the main dimension is the rear clip > clip which works perfect. Nice click when you fit them, very satisfying after doing the same as you and spending a fortune on others (y)

SIZE
DIAMETER OVERALL OUTER SIDE 65MM
INNER FACE SIZE 59MM
REAR CLIP TO CLIP INNER 59MM - OUTER 62MM
CLIP DEPTH TOTAL 11MM - CLIP DEPTH TO RETAINING LUG 5MM
