Change Battery?? HELP

Hi,

I just had a look at my battery and there is a plastic bit on top which has i think 4 cables and a few fuses in it. and it seems to be bolted onto the battery.

The only obvious nut I could see I took off and it still seems to be pretty tight on the battery still.

Any ideas? or FAQs which I might have missed.

Should slide off with the positive terminal i thought.....

The bit of metal coming off from the front of the box clips in under the the front of the battery to hold it in place, was a bit of a PITA to do when i done mine but managed in the end and it just lifted out of the way.

Cool, I still haven't got round to having a look yet, i might tonight when I get in from work.

Its a crap way to have a battery dont you think? why couldn't they just do what everyone else does and simply have a battery, and 2 leads. lol!

it worked. just slid straight off the side. cars running nicely again cheers!
