Changing my fuel filter

Seems im on here everytime i try and do something to my car!

I'm trying to change the fuel filter. I've managed to loosen off the crusty jublie clip holding the filter in but i cant get the lines off. The haynes manual say's they're quick release and just to squeeze them but i can't figure it out! Tried with pliers and doesnt seem to budge and I dont want to do any damage!

Any tips?

Have a read, iirc The guide mentions another connection in the bay that u can see how it works on, I.e press the button and pop the connection off.
