changing the battery

Feel like a total moron for asking this, ive done a search of the forum too but cant find what im looking for. How do i get the old battery out of the car?? ive undone a few of the bolts around the battery to see if that loosens it and it doesnt. Its pretty desperate too, the cold has pretty much killed the one thats in

doesnt matter, sorted it, the plate holding it down had ceased so even when i tried it, it wouldnt budge until i wacked it with the socket
