Charcoal Cannister (ticky, ticky, ticky thing)

I always used to hear this tick tick tick as the car was idling at the lights or junctions etc, now it has stopped!

All I can hear now when the car is idling is a low slup, slup, slup kind of sound, should i be worrried and can i take it apart to clean it? My mpg has kinda tailed off a bit too...

the ticky ticky thing is the carbon purge valve and nothing to worry about, it does that!

I think he knew that :S But he was concerned that it may of become full of crap :S
