Chatter noise.

Hey,
Right if i just put the vac hose on top of my dv (split r) it sounds normal-tsshh, but if i T of the top of the dv to engage my boost gauge it makes a chatter noise, carnt see any twists ect.... anything else it can be?

With the split r your not supposed to connect to anything else ie boost gauge. Thats why your getting chatter mate

it worked perfectly before i had it remapped or is it due to the extra boost?

Yeh that could be the cause of it now then. Forge do say not to run anything else on the same line as the split r and im guessing chatter are the side effects then

Ok no worries, think it might be the same vac hose that goes to the FPR....can anyone confirm this? if so will have to order some more vac hose.

Is it the same for the 007p DV?

as that small hose on my dv has a t-peices just be4 the dv?

No danny im pretty sure its only for the slpit r that you cant run off the same hose

Well i've found out why it was making a chatter......the T piece i used was crap! on the bit that went to me boost gauge it had a brass thing in it with a hole the size as a full stop-fitted new T problem sorted and stiil taken from the dv hose.

Yeah that what was causing the chatter.

Just means it's unstable and flicks around a lot, those fancy t-pieces fix that problem by means of some kind of restrictor i believe.
