chatter!!!!

at the minute my car occiasonaly chatters, and the dv does work well make it noise instead i get a chattering sound. any ideas?

Check all the vac hoses are connected properly and that there's no kinks etc

Does the problem go away when its warmed up?

no its just every now and again really. i was giving the bean this morning (against interga type r ) which i was puling away from might i add lol. and it didnt do it at all.
i was guessing when im booting it there loads of pressure anyway so might now happen, but going slow, cruising might just be a leak

I wouldn't worry about it, give the hoses a quick once over for peace of mind.

Your not going to kill the turbo

oh good good just wondering if the chattering was going to do the turbo any harm at all.

I ran without a dv for about 10k without any issues, same turbo is still there after 80k and going strong.

If it continues in the long run it certainly won't do your turbo any good. The chatter noise is the compressor wheel stalling itself

Have you done the leak back test?

If its forge you can ask for a service kit.

KILL THE TURBO, OR THE MORE REASON TO UPGRADE.. YEAH GO TO FORGE SECTION AND THEY GIVE FREE SERVICE KIT IF YOU PAY POSTAGE

mine also chatters but only in low revs, say before 3.5k. then after that the boost makes the dump valve chirp, i have tested all my hoses and they are fine it is literally just the turbo not having enough boost to open the valve fully in low revs, and this is with a forge split r aswell recommended for the engine. My mates have mr2 turbos and a gts skyline and theirs do it too
