I had never driven a lowered car full stop so thought about this long and hard before deciding to go ahead. I disliked the FR harsh bouncy ride alot and this has made it things so much better, the ride is now firm not bouncy, slightly hard but yeh as you know you will get that anyway. The roads in Sussex are crap too every morning I have to drive down a road dotted with pot holes! But mine is only lowered 35mm at the moment as my insurance don't let you go more than 5cms and when they were fitted there was a problem with my front ARB droplinks. Obviously if you slam the car there is the issue of the sump on the diesel so you will have to go dead slow on crap roads speed humps. I could never have my car slammed like the others do due to the roads round here and I have to drive over a cattle grid everyday living on a farm!
I want to lower it a bit more when I get different insurance next month if soemone can tell me how the heck you adjust it on these kind of coilovers?

Just to ad at the same time as coilovers I got cupra and powerflex wishbones bushes fitted which I think has helped the ride as well as new front ARB links which tightened things up as mine had alot of play.

Thanks Aimez,

That's good to hear, I don't want to make the thing undrivable!

I'll have to take the plunge post pay day next month. I've heard about those bushes too - where did you get them from, a SEAT dealer?

I think I saw on another thread that to adjust the ride hight you have to take the coilovers off the car and screw them or something - sounds like a job for the proffesionals!
