Opened my engine bay last night to find mine has gone missing (as seen in pic below)? Its not floating round the engine bay ether. Really don’t know what’s happened as I can see the sticky residue of where it was stuck on and it was there the other week.

It has only ever been into seat and it was in yesterday for a warranty fix on the windscreen.

So all those with the TSI engine check your Cupra badge is securely stuck on. Spoke to Liverpool seat and they said they’d have a look round but it wouldn’t be covered under warranty. I’ll be contacting seat UK if it doesn’t as its pain in the ass and I’m sure a right rip off to replace.

It is i was talking to my dealer a few weeks ago and he said his one did that and u have to replace the whole engine cover

I thought he said it was under warranty tho, maybe not

No way! Just spoke to Seat head customer service and they said that if my dealer wont replace it ask them to send a "good will" request to them and they'd sort it. If its a known problem then hopefully it should be an easy fix.

I know its only a small badge but its not the point. I've paid nearly 18k for a car! I dont want bits dropping off!

Have you got the guys name as I wouldn't mind speaking to him see how he went about sorting it.

No probs, he should remeber me i was there about 2 hours ago, they sorted out my Xenons.

Were set to high so on dipped beam ppl were flashing me, turned out the nar side light was set a lettle high.

Will see if theres any diff tonight

Well it dont sound like you are happy abiout the situation about the missing logo that is supposed to be on your engine, to be honest I would be the same. Lets say the car that has just had the bonnet resprayed is going back to Liverpool Seat next week well friday we are taking it in the paint lacquer is peeling and blistering for no reason, the car is always hand washed and we always use Auto Glym and we never use a power jet washer, we are thinking that this car has had a bump prior to us buying it, or something happened in the paint shop when the bonnet was being resprayed, it's funny because Nick told us that it was used by a manager os Seat we get the V5 log book and it was owned by a rental company in Bristol so a bit ticked off about it all, having said that it's an awqesome car to drive it is still under warranty till December 2010 so the damage is either maufacturing defect or it has happened like I say in the Paint Shop at Seat, anyways hope they find your badge, funny how something like that can just fall off, lets just hope you dont have a paint problem like we have been having, very so not impressed.
