Chrome Plating

Does anyone know , where i can get a Strut Brace Chrome Plated, ive looked but cant seem to find anyone that specialises. Preferably within the Staffordshire Area, but from the looks of it, i might have to post it.

My Strut brace which has been polished, has slowly gone rusty, and needs attention.

There's someone in nottingham called, funnily enough, Nottingham Platers, but they can be a bit awkward to deal with.

You can also get nickel plating if you're stuck. Not as shiny though.

Sounds about right. Have you thought about powdercoating, I had my strut brace powdercoated black and it cost £30, alot cheaper than chroming.

Can you powdercoat to other colours, ie Close to a Chrome/Polish type ?

You could get it polished and then powdercoated with a clear lacquer.

Failing that, there's all sorts of special finish powders nowadays - try one of the wheel refurbishing places and see what's available.

Mark, the problem ive got , is that its already been polished but unfortunatly its now covered in specs of rust !!!!

That's why I was suggesting having it lacquered after re-polishing. If the rust is removed and it's pretreated properly it won't rust once it's been lacquered.
