Claying and temperature!

Hi All,

I was wondering if it might be to cold at the minute to clay the Ibiza?

Whats the opinion!

nope itll be grand , make sure u use plenty of spray and keep folding the bar over , if u drop the bar throw that bit away ,

It's worse trying to clay when it's really hot - although the clay is easy to knead to shape the lubricant evaporates off your paintwork while you're working.

Just finished after a 4hr epic!! took about 2 hrs to carefully clay the roof which had'nt ever been done!

What clay bar do you recomend!!

given the choice, buy the Dp clay from Ron at Motorgeek, just buy the clay, and make up your own lub with car shampoo and de-ironised water

DP clay from Ron currently comes with a free Wolfgang lube

clay'd mine at the weekend.... used 2L of lube whilst doing the whole car !!!

made my lube up using 5 cap fulls of Megs Gold Class shampoo, and 2L of water.

If you get the Megs calybar (like me) don't use the Quick Detailer as lube.... much better kept for keeping the car looking good when you've finished detailing it
