I don't want to spend loads of money but i want to get a real good shine on my red lc.

I've just got my hands on a machine polisher.

be careful with the machine (unless you have experience). Practise on a scrap panel is possible. Is it an Orbital or Rotary Polisher?

For a good shine, polish it (AG SRP would even do if you're not 100% confident at removing swirls as it's more of a "filler" than a "remover" IIRC)

For wax, I like Dodo Juice. Check their site for the right one for your colour. Select a Hard Wax as it spreads more evenly. Banana Armour is what I have, good for most colours. Handy when you have more than one car. It's also well priced IMO. About £30 and give a nice shine and protection....

Check Poorboys out aswell for some stuff

I used an orbital polisher on my car in May, it was my first experience with one.
The results were good but they would be 10x better if i'd had more experience using one.

If you want to give it a go, it is ideal to do a lot of research first, you need to know your products and read up on some techniques.

There's a great guide on detailing world if you follow that then you will know so much more about the whole process.

Also bare in mind...It took me 2 days!
