Cleaning the foam applicator pads

Hi all,

I have two foam applicator pads which ive used to add wax to the car.

These have gone a bit hard (build up of the wax)

I put one in the washing machine, but its now missing a few small chunks from the face of it...

how can I clean them effectively?

10 for £8 - if the washer doesn't do the trick, I just bin them.

I tend to just wash foam pads in the sink with washing up liquid. That and hot water seems to have enough power to break down the wax.

all my megs one's have now lost chucks, but the one's I've brought my tesco seem to be lasting.

Wash in the washer then leave out to dry naturally....

I wash (The applicators not me) in the sink with hot water and a little washing up liquid as well.

If you put them in the washing machine try putting them inside one of those net bags used to add detergent tablets. It should help to prevent damage!
