Planning to swap my ECU very soon. Got all the recoding of the SEAT immob/ECU side ef things sorted. Does anyone know if the CLIFFORD alarm (Concept500) is going to get in the way of this?

Just for reference i'm swapping an my APR chip for a REVO'd ECU (long story) :)

clifford should get in the way mate, it holds its own immob etc, just works on cabling and its own modules.

Long story, i;ve got lots of time :)

I'd have thought the apr was better mapped than generic revo.

just put clifford into valet mode mate, it should be fine, and pull the power feed to the clifford, it will not loose any settings or cause any issues.

kool have you sorted the clifford then??

Well everyone i've spoke to seems to think we'll be ok as its not connected to the ECU in any way. I keep meaning to get the CLIFFORD removed as i don't need it. But skint at the mo and its gunna cost £200 :( Still i should be able to sell it on for £200 as its nearly new and worth between £500 & £600.

i may be tempted to do you a deal with the clifford aswell, ill c how much i get paid 1st, lol

Well i've been quoted between £150 and £200 to have it removed in such a way that it can be fitted to another car. If you can find someone to do it, either near you or near me. You can have it for free. :D

 Let me know how you get on.

Its a CLIFFORD Concept 500 with turbo timer and BlakJax anti hijacking system. (Even opens your windows before you get in, if you want it too)

Was originally installed by TRILOGY Auto Security, Cheshire. (0161 303 9818)

I have both the standard fob and the master fob, in a carbon fiber look, and are both in excellent condition too.
