climate control

hi guys,

my fans have stopped working. regardless of what temp i set it too, or fan strength, or even window demister, they just dont come on ever!

do you think this could be a fuse? or are there any common faults with these?

ah also the climate control display flashes for a few seconds when i first start the engine. then settles to its normal screen, however nothing works after that!

My Climate Control Display flashes a few times when i switch the engine on, but it goes off after a few seconds...and i have wondered why for a few weeks now - but all the fans on mine do still work - I will consult the handbook, and i may even ask SEAT when i pop to the dealers on the way home - so i'll let you know if i make any headway with the dealer

yeah i wouldnt mind if it just flashes as much, however the fans not working full stop isnt something i can live with. when it rains the inside of my car fogs up, which isnt very urm safe!

Well...I spoke to the dealer this evening, and he said that the flashing display could mean that there's a fault, which would require VAG-COM or similar to diagnose or it could mean that the system needs regassing. As for your fans not working, he said that that was most likely because your fan motors are knackered.

And that's all he had to say on it.

So, i'm gonna get mine regassed next week and see if that cures it, otherwise I'll have to try and get the fault diagnosed
