Clips On Forge FMIC

Will be fitting my Forge FMIC on Friday and a few people have said to me about changing the clips to stainless steal due to the alloy ones cutting into the pipes or popping off but they do have a R if that matters

Has anyone else done this or will the ones that came with it be fine as the last thing I want is to have pipes pop off while on track like a few people on here have had

Nothing wrong with Forge clips, Tris. I'm running 1.5 bar of boost to the red line and haven't had any problems.

Ok was just worried if I have a problem on track it wont be a easy fix when everything is hot

there really shud be a propper torque setting, will probably be about 4.2 newton meters 8)

can't see how a steel clip would cause it to slip... more likely they used a screwdriver to do the pipes up, or didn't fit it right

Yes, I should add - I normally finish mine off with a spanner.

It splitting might be due to improper fitting. If you tightened the clip ontop of the rib then you will split the hose. Best off taking a socket, with a few extensions and ratchet as a popped hose will spoil your day. It any easy fix.
1 tip if I may, make sure your clip tightening bolts are easily accessable
