Clueless Wonman needs help with replacement wing

Please don't crucify me if I am getting any of this wrong!

Ok, I am a girl and I hold my hands up because I am absolutely clueless when it comes to cars. I have a Y Reg Seat Ibiza 1.4 in Black.

Some idiot dented the passenger front wing on my car in Sainsburys car park this morning. Not only that, they drove off without leaving their details and there are no witnesses or CCTV footage to boot.

I have left my details with the supermarket in case any witnesses come forward and I will take some pictures down the police station to report it but I do not have much hope in anything being done.

I have already claimed once on my insurance this year and do not want to claim again so I am looking for the cheapest way of fixing this problem.

I have to phone my husband tonight and break the news - please help me with any ideas you have that may soften the blow!

You could purchase a new wing on ebay, and get a paint shop to fit and paint it?

Just be careful with patterned panels like these off eBay! The fit is often horrible and you can tell from a mile off you've skimped!

There is nothing worse than having your car damaged/dented in this kinda way!!

Really really annoys me! Hence why i'm not affraid to take up 2 parking spaces in a super market!! I sympathise with you.

If it was caused by another car door, i.e. so the dent is reasonably small, then there are few 'dent removal' companies. Halfords offer a dent removal service but I'm not sure how good the removal is, they claim you won't be able to notice it was ever there.
All depends on the extent of the damage.
