Right guys, hoping you can help me out before i pull my hair out.
I have had a clunking noise from the drivers side wheel area. Now this noise only happens when i reverse and then brake. But it will only do it once.
When i move forwards and brake it also will clunk, but aslong as i dont go backwards again it will not clunk again.
Not the weird thing is i thought that my wishbone rear bush had gone, i also had stripped the thread in the droplink hole so i decided to buy a new wishbone, complete with all bushes and new lower ball joint. (im going to be polybushing it next week so dont worry - boths sides will be the same)
I have also checked and double checked everything was tight and it is, also checked the track rod and it seems ok, although i have tightened it slightly, but the noise still remains!
You can actually see the wheel jerking as it makes the noise (got the gf to drive)
But i honestly cannot see what the problem is.
Car is on fk coilovers, wound all the way down, with a tt arb and standard droplinks if this helps?!
Throw some ideas at me please, cheers tony
