clutch adjusting

hi

i have just replaed me pedal box on the ibiza but the cable seems to be to small to fit back where it was dose any 1 knows how i put some slack in it so it wil be long enough

undo it at the gearbox end, attach at pedal end, then refit at the gearbox end.

i was under the impression that it have to ajust the auto ajuster as i wil pull the clutch in to much when i attach it
