  • Hey Guest👍👎 We're looking for reviews of your local CUPRA or SEAT Dealership - it's quick and easy to do: Leave a review now
Standard procedure - take pics of the scene (where you were and where he was). You have his car details. Pass them to your insurance company.

Report it to the police as a 'fail to stop' road accident. You'll need to fill out the paperwork to make the allegations 'official' - then they can investigate it for you.

You don't HAVE to give your insurance details at the scene of an accident (as a lot of people don't know their policy number, etc), but minimum should be name, tel no and reg details.

As stated above, this fella could be instigating a claim against you now, saying you were to blame. I'd get my blow in first personally. No doubt it's a company car and he can claim it through his work. My two penneth.....

Ok I should have worded that abit better. But you do need to exchange details in the event of an accident failure to give details when requested is an offence.
The law states:
You must give your vehicle registration number, your name and address, and that of the vehicle owner (if different) to anyone with reasonable grounds for asking for those details.
If you do not exchange those details at the scene, you must report the accident at a police station or to a police officer as soon as you can and in any case within 24 hours.
