cobra exhausts?

I got it off eBay, but I would say wrap it up with heat wrap or you will hate the sound of it, mine sounded so tinny I thought it was blowing also the welds weren't the best. Wrapped it up now sounds normal.
 
ok basically i got the cobra non res catback the other day but not loud enough compared to my mates. i was wondering what would make more difference in noise getting a sports cat as i only got standard one atm. or getting it mapped? also if i got the sports cat would i have to get the downpipe to benefit to make it louder or would jus the sports cat do thanks?
 
Dont want it really really loud as it is non res and my mate has this set up which sounds hood his is just mapped

How does the heat wrap change the sound?
 
will have to do another one with a bit more welly, not bad for an iphone:p when u catch it right pulling away it has a nice pop to it:

stage 1 custom code map ,forge tip,green filter,forge dump valve

Because the scorpian decat sounds terrible, it must be thin or **** quality metal as it sounds really tinny, the decat its self is noisey I don't mean the exhaust note. If you put your ear to it when running it sounded like a bag of spanners and the welds aren't the best.

Cool. I no understand, i was assuming exhaust note.

I will also heatwrap the downpipe when I get to ordering one. It will make the hot exhaust gasses accelerate through the exhaust system = more performance and help lower temps in the front of the car
