The more I look into which system to buy the harder the choice is! Has anyone had one fitted to there LCR? If so what feed back could you offer? I see they do a turbo back with sports cat and 3" full system. Do they fit on site as I'm not to far from Sheffield? The price seems to good to be true!

Pirahna won't do a discount at all which is fair enough as they must buy them off cobra, I thought they was cobra since that's all they sell, they said try asking cobra if anyone's interested. I just ordered my cat back non res off them, can't wait for it to come!!

After a convo with cobra themselves talking about cabin drone etc and hassle of refitting a cat every year for MOT, i have just ordered the turbo back system with sports cat non res,
they said as the cat will silence the noise a fair bit the chance of cabin drone is quite low but will still generate a nice "sporty and meaty" noise both at cruising speed and an even better one when having a play...
unfortunately it wont be fitted until the 20th but will upload a video of the sound as soon as i can so that people can have an idea of the noise and settle some uncertainties amongst us all.

cheers chris, someone that thinks along my wavelength too...post a video when you can dude.

Yes, our cars are powerful but at the end of the day i want a nice sound that isnt too loud should i choose to do a long journey or if i want to pootle around town. I think i would hate to have a car doing 20mph and all you can hear is BBRRMMMMMMMMM constantly. When i hear this round my area you can tell its a cheap exhaust. I think if your going to 'invest' in the car, and lets be honest, before Cobra most other manufacturers are charging best part of £1100 then the exhaust should do all things...

At the end of the day im nearly 33, want a good sound but do not wanna sound like a 20 year old chav lol

Dont get me wrong I have heard Cobra systems on jew tube and they sound nice. But I always seem to think of them as a cheap and cheerful. Im gonna go for either Piper/Miltek or Blueflame [B)]

ben450 i totally agree with you too.

Hence me wanting to go Piper a few years back, but i hate their tailpipe design. Blueflame had always been my choice. (when i joined & up to 2008) a blueflame system with sports cat was £595 on Ebay. Then it sky rocketed upwards...

So on that principle alone the Cobra is more expensive than the original Blueflame. The £595 exhausts that around 90% of owners on here have been running, and getting good power from, for years and years....

Im still gonna stick with the Pipewerx downpipe and cat as Pipewerx are a much better name, but i just like the sound, looks and the fact you can get an unbaffled tailpipe (not sure if you can specify this on a blueflame) and for just £305.

I heard Toms Piper on Sunday and it sounds awesome the tailpipe design is the only thing I dont like and as its always on show it would bug me. Not sure what downpipe and decat ill get yet but the cat back needs doing on mine asap as one of the btackets has broken and the rear box outer casing is looking pretty sorry for itself. Got a few little mechanical bits to sort first. Top mount, rear coil spring, anti roll bar drop link and pre cat lambada sensor. They will be sorted this month then ill be sorting exhaust, recirc valve and tip. Got loads of tidying up work to do under bonnet aswell so im gonna be busy. [B)]

Is there any differance in flow/performance between resonating and none. Or is it purly for sound?
