Dont get me wrong I have heard Cobra systems on jew tube and they sound nice. But I always seem to think of them as a cheap and cheerful. Im gonna go for either Piper/Miltek or Blueflame [B)]

Have you seen the quality of the Cobra systems?? or are you presuming because its cheaper than the millteks that the quality will suffer??

problem with milltek and other big names is lots of people seem to flock like sheep and pay for the name.

just a thought really!

Mine keeps going brown but it goes back to silver with a wipe over, but that maybe because mines running rough, rich , bad map etc, the quality of workmanship on it is second to none, perfect welds etc people who pay £750 + odd for a stainless exhaust just because its a well known name and bang it on a 10 yr old car meaning the exhaust is probably 1/3 the value of the car itself want their heads looking at, I got a full turbo back 3" stainless system, toyosports decat/downpipe, cobra cat back resonated system with oval tip and got a few quid change out of £400.. sounds just as nice and im sure does the job near enough the same ! :)

right guys... the exhaust system was delivered yesterday, my mechanic went to it this morning to get it out and ready before taking my car across for it to be fitted...
just one slight issue they forgot to include the fittings and gaskets which they have posted out today so will be delivered tomorrow or monday.... but the mechanic did say it looks a very good system with neat welds etc....
unfortunately i cant get the car back to the garage until wednesday so i will upload the video as soon as i can....
:-(

Got my cobra cat back, resonated 2.5" with 6x4" tailpipe fitted at C&C custom exhausts in Hillington.

Many thanks to Cameron and the guys at C&C, great service.

For those who are wondering the quality of the exhaust is spot on, welds are 1st class.

Not too loud at all, even at motorway cruising, I would say its is only slightly louder than the standard.

I will try and get some pictures and small video up tomorrow, just for reference for others.

There is definatly a difference in tone, deeper. Sounds louder, (but not decat loud) when on overrun.. especially around 3-4k. Pressing the accelerator again quietens it down again.

Basically exactly what I wanted... :)

Couldn't be doing with the noise I had 5years ago in my old mk3 golf, straight through powerflow full system..

Could be...

Yeah mate, mine is minus the baffles in the back box.

My only criticism (minor).. Is that the joint between the back box section and centre section was a gasket clamp not a sleeve so the positioning was very slightly off centre.

I'm a picky bugger though, we are talking about 2-3mm. Not even noticeable really.
