Haha i almost did as well, didnt know the exhaust (the whole thing!) would get so hot to create some serious skin meltage

Dumpvalve, knockoff HKS SSQV3. Works perfectly on my cold side DV kit. The long blue silicone one is discarded now (recirc pipe), need to make a newer pic.

ok, having read all 25pages i think im sold on the cobra cat back. when i had my cupra r a few years back i put a blueflame on it and was slighlty disappointed with the noice or lack of. that said im 30 now with a 10month old so i need a happy medium.

Im 31 with kids and i have cat back cobra non res centre and non res oval it got noisier after a few months its louder when hot also i would say maybe i should have got resonated centre with non res oval but no one complains in car as it doesnt boom mines a 180 leon 20vt if its to quiet for you i will do a swap lol but everyones taste are different

ah, we are at opposite ends of the country so a swop would be difficult!
thanks for the feedback though, very helpful. i think i may go for a non res centre and baffle as a compromise.
dont suppose you have any vids of this set up do you?
Not sure about the baffles in the tailpipes.. maybe just becauses it's going from 3" single pipe from the backbox to a split Y shape then to 2no 3" pipes.?

I've just changed my order to a 3" twin slash cut - to look OEM (and to be different to you lot!)
Stock down pipe for now.
Also ordered a BMC twin cone and heat shield from badger5

I have a custom cobra system with scorpion decat and a o2 spacer , just been done for it been very loud , it's coming off not my cup of tea

The stock cat dampens a lot of sound, Im experiencing the same with my Toyosports 3" decat. I love that its near silent with normal cruising and transforms into the Kraken when booting it
