Cobra parking sensors A0258

Hi,

I'm wondering if anyone can help me with a problem i have?? I recently purchased an 2007 Leon FR TFSI, wonderful car

I decided to get some Cobra reversing sensors added to it, managed to get a set for around 60 quid...they have been fitted correctly by the mechanic at work, all wired up in the correct way etc...but only one problem, it dosent seem to want to calibrate :/

I've reversed up around 30-40cms from a wall as it says for me to do, ignition on and into reverse and sat for around 2 mins waiting for the beeeeeeeeeeeep sound to come on so it gives me the all clear to snip the blue wire, but all i get is "beep, beep, beep, beep" and no sign of anything else happening??

Is there anyone who can help me??

Maybe your your quite close enough for the beeep!!

I've got the a0158 kit that i fitted to mine a couple of years ago. When calibrating, the car should be as close as you can to 50cm from the wall. This will result in a constant beep at 30cm from an object when operational.

fitted loads of cobra units direct from vw and at least 30/40% of the unit were faulty.
