Coil pack issues??

Is anyone aware if the Coil pack problems have been solved no all new 20VT models? i.e, is it a possibiliy that my new Toledo that I get next week will be effected by this?

If so, maybe SEAT ought to supply a spare as part of the Spare wheel toolkit incase I get caught short abroad!!!

It should be fine - VAG are no longer using the 'duff' coilpacks. I got them in mine, but i've got a very early '03 model.

coil pack problems i have a seat toledo 1.6i se aft model on a p reg for some strange reason it keep on blowing the coil pack had it bit the other day and found out it not the coil it blows it the rectafier took circuit board out there a there a big black burn mark now i carn't really seem to make this part up as i carn't see the circuit lay out as it covered in some kind of paint can any 1 help me where i can get the circuit lay out from any ideas is this a common fault ???
