right, i have done a search but cant find a difinitive answer.

I think one of the coils has gone / is on the way out on my ibiza, but the Engine llight hasnt come on.

how much will it take to get the engine light on?

usually have an engine light yer

needs faults reading, could be a few things have gone wrong

1 of mine went yesterday and the engine check light only flashed on a couple of times. A quick check with vagcom is what you need really but a misfire/judder/rough idle is usually a sure sign of a snafu'd coil.

thats what i am hoping, to be honest i am really worried if its anything more expensive.

I have just bought a house and its xmas and all the rest of it

it could be a lambda sensor too, got one gone at the minute too, car idles badly and no power then all of a sudden itll go again then down on power etc etc, getting replaced tomorrow.

I already had them replaced under warranty just under a year ago for the "new" version

but as these are under a year olld they should be covered by the 12month part warranty i would of thought

Fact : New/modified versions of coil packs are just as unreliable as the old ones due to Seat being too tight to fork out for the manufacture of better ones.
