Been having a few issues with my Miltek system rubbing on my rear spring. Took them out today and noticed they are about an inch wider than my koni lowering springs.

Anyone else had this problem. The coilovers are V-maxx. With the Konis back in no more rubbing noise.

Just fitted a Miltek turbo back exhaust today and they was loads of room between exhaust and springs, V-Maxx coilovers too.

Have you got your rears wound right down? Just asking cos my FK's are right down at the back and my exhaust rattles on the rear axle :ban: It's rather irritating!

i had them at different heights, plenty of clearance on the axle after a small bracket was removed but you could see the exhaust physically touching the spring, but now there is no issue at all just got a bit of rake going on.

Aprox 10mm to go on rears and nothing is anyware near touching mate :D

have you got the front and rear sprins wrong way round? i know it a silly question but the fronts are wider than the back springs cos i got v-maxx and i aint go any rubbing either mate

Thats a good shout mate. Its worth a check anyway. If you pop one of the rear springs out it will either say FR or FL (front right/left) or RR or RL (rear right/left) on the top edge of the spring.

Milltek have revised the design along with the new RS 4 tip design. Exhaust will be touching a clip that holds the rear brake lines in place. Ended up burning it off and re-welding it to the chase in a better location.

Still with two fatties in the back it still rattles against the rear beam

That would be my problem then lol.. its such a pain in the ass, it vibrates just as I'm pulling away at around 1k revs. Draws attention for the wrong reasons!

I have the RS4 style tip on mine, Ric :)

I'm jealous :ban: One day I'll see how much it would cost to swap!

What tip is on yours Rich, oval or twin?

Oval, but the "special 118" oval for the prefacelift FR. It sits too far under the bumper for my liking, and the ovalness of it isn't the same shape as the bumper cut out if you get me

There are no markings on the springs but I measured the ones in the front are they are the same size as my Koni rears so thanks guys I think that is what the problem is the bigger springs should be in the font and not the rear.

Will get onto my mechanic tomorrow and get it booked in to be sorted.

cheers
