coilovers are on

The back offside (drivers rear) is making a sort of stretching noise if you lift the back arch upwards, a sort of rusty sounding noise/metal rubbing noise..

i hate explaining noises on cars, mainly cos' you cant, but when u bounce the car it makes that sort of metally grinding sound, pretty loud..

Before i start to strip it down and Do it again, anyone any ideas?

Cheers, david

One of my coilovers does it. Try this, jack the car up, but do it so that there is still a little pressure on the spring. Now stick your hand inside the wheel arch and turn the spring by hand. Just literary try and turn the spring as if it were a giant bottle cap you are trying to undo. Only turn it 180 degrees and then bring the car down and see if it is still making the noise. Because they are coilovers, they have plat springs and flat platforms, rather then the spiral ones found on normal shocks. This means that they often make a metal scraping noise.
