going back to basics
just been looking at the CAI's that locate the air filter down by the bumper for the Leon 1.8t (180), i've just had a quick feel and look and can't see how they can route the pipe work down to this position

has anyone got any photo's (or links to) or explain how they fit

also, i already have a green cone filter, would it be much hard work to make one myself using straight aluminium and silicone bend hoses?

is a drilled air box on a leon cupra 180 ok will i gain o lose power

Yeah i have one fitted and there is a hole thats partly covered by the battery tray (what the battery sits on) and also the old cold air feed, it was very tight getting the pipe down but the hard part was getting under the car to tighten the clip on the cone filter :)

on a side note i also had to modify the piece of plastic that the old cold air feed ran in to behind headlamp because the new aluminium cold air feed pipe was actually pushing my head lamp out slightly but this could of just been me :)
