As the title said it, is it possible to combine a big turbo conversion with a lpg system? If it is, is it better to install the lpg system before the big turbo or is it better to install the big turbo first. Or perhaps is it the same?

As a point of fact most BT cars run with better economy than std cars, they are 'off turbo' till higher in the rev range hence people can sit at 85mph on the motorway with it barely spooling. This means you have economy of a 1.8 NA engine at motorway cruising speeds.

prolly a question for a gas conversion company.. whether they would have noizzles/injectors of suitable size for a 4 banger running BT power (and conventional gasoline thirst)

who did the conversion. std ecu, any tweeks?
i have heard from peeps who do these conversions that some suffer valve related issues (burnt) on LPG, which puts me off a bit.

A local guy did mine 6 years ago to the car in standard trim, since then it has evolved with 3071 turbo, 740cc nismo injectors, poncams, apexi pfc, 1.8 mhg
ripping the emmigas system out soon and replacing with a direct injection system that I can hopefully run on the apexi ecu
getting a cast inlet manifold that I will be modifying and rebuilding a engine with forged bits to run around 500bhp![[B)]](/forums/styles/seatcupra/oldforumsmileys/shades.gif "Cool [B)]")

Jeroen Dik of JD Engineering in the netherlands has tuned several 1.8T engines that run on LPG, clue is that the temperature becomes higher when running LPG so that peak power has to come in at lower revs than standard to stop overheating of the cilinder head.
Conclusion you can do it but it needs custom mapping, but it does give slightly higher power due to the higher octane that LPG has.
