Using the search it seems like condensation in front lights is common, but couldn't find many stories of condensation in rear lights - the car is only 3 days old... so probably not what you'd expect to see!
Based on past experiences, have Dealers rectified this, or not??
got replaced under warranty
but only after running over the drunk and the car been released by the police i asked the local DM Keith Skoda for a quote, they picked the car up free and then quoted me and said they will also replace the other unbroken light cause it was steaming up.
otherwise i would probley have left it lol
they should do your rear's aswell i would have thought
theyre not gonna replace every light on my car under warranty they worm there way outa it! its the headlights that are really bad might put a hose in the back of them fill them up with water and go and raise hell till they replace them! dont really wanna piss off seat stealers as they do all my servicing ect!
Mine does this to not badly enough to bother me, but it is slightly noticable on the rear of the car and very noticible on the front. Let me know if anyone finds a cheap quick fix.
it has been discused loads of times and there are plenty of ways of apparantly fixing them (drilling little holes, headlamp breather) just bad build quality frankly so as there broken im gonna upgrade them for xennon headlamps in the new year does ne 1 have ne idea on a price i know there damn pricy!
you cant have xenon headlamps on the cupra as they need the washer legally and the intercooler pipes get in the way of where the washers sit in the bumper
but i relly like the halogen/xenon look would simply put kit in headlamps but they steam up i feel like a :w4nk: going into seat dealership saying my lights steam up tho!
Holders of Congresbury said the rear ones they can replace under warranty without SEAT authorisation, but the front headlamps they have to email HQ with pix for their approval. If it aint bad enough they wont modify them.
Im waiting for mine to get a bit worse before i complain. I'd like to uprate the bulbs to the Philips ones but I dont want to hear "you changed the bulbs therefore you caused the condensation".
My car had condensation in the rear lights when i bought it. It shouldnt be anything to worry about. Mine went away after 1 night of driving about with the back lights on.
There's condensation there now (and has been there since I got to Uni this morning. Wasn't there before I left home at 7am... Seems that it's a temperature thing between the lights (2 hour journey) and the outside temp.
