I did a search but couldn't find anything about this particular tyre.

Does anyone have them, and if so are they any good?? I've looked on mytyres.co.uk and they rate them at 1.6 overall where as the Goodyears are 2.2.

I currently have the Good years F1 gsd's and although they are a very good tyre, (mind you they only lasted about 8000k), I find they just don't look that nice on the rim so I though I would try something else.

Any input would be good as I need 4 new tyres soon and its gonna be costley :-o

I've found the Dunlop SP Sport Maxx to be brilliant on my LCR. Good grip in wet and dry.

I use vierdstien's, find them very good in wet and dry. £105inc fitting for 225/40/18. Auto express best buy. (look good as well).

I keep trying different tyres, had some GY GSD3s on mine which were good in the wet and dry, but as my car is a Fabia vRS with heavy lump over the fronts, the side walls were just not strong enough and they were downright dangerous at high speed cornering.

I do still have them on the back though and they are great for that.

Problems with these tyres are (for me) the lack of sidewall stiffness, and particularly poor behaviour in lower temperatures.

I've got to see what the SC 3s are like, they might be good :)

I had continental Contact Sport 2 on my Leon FR and they were really very good! Never had Continentals before and was pleasantly surprised. They performed equally well in both wet & dry, and felt very stable at high speeds. They were also very progressive in fairly hard cornering. As far as wear goes, I'm not sure... I upgraded to LCR alloys with Goodyear F1 GSD3's after 5k miles, then at 7k miles I part ex'd for the LCR... The Goodyear F1 GSD3's were pretty good all round tyres, slightly better in the dry, and held on well on hard cornering. Also less wheel spin on hard acceleration.

When I bought the LCR it came with Pirelli P-Zero Rosso's which were ok in the dry, crap in the wet & didn't last long at all! I currently have Dunlop SP Sport Maxx. I think the GSD3's were better in the dry, but in the wet they're excellent.

I was thinking next time I need new tyres, I'll give the Conti Sport 3's a try. I was more than happy with the way the Conti Sport 2's performed, and I've already tried most other brands over the years... They (mytyres) had Champion Contact's listed (£150 each) a while ago which were even better again (test result was 1.2), and had an almost semi-slick tread pattern.
