temp gauge on the radio will just be the temp sensor in the passenger wing mirror, common fault!

Tapping noise? That just the tappets?

They can be tightened can't they?

not sounding stupid but check your oil if thats low it will sound tapety not sure if they an be tightened or if you have to reshim them

Yeah I've checked my oil and theres plenty in there, is it cheap to get done? ( re shiming them? )

is the tapping on idle i assume?, could just be the injectors so nothing to worry about it's how they are i believe

yeah its just on idle, is there anyway to stop it at all?its really anoying lol!

Just an idea but i've had a tapping noise on idle, found mostly when im low on petrol, i had it diagnosed as the charcoal canister and valve today. It also has turned on my ECU light and ruined my fuel economy. I Haven't heard the tapping as much recently but Seat in Durham said that the cam follower replacement common on these forums could be the source.

However i do believe it to be the canister, and its more audible inside the cabin for some reason.
