i think that the clutch slips (doesnt grip fully, just a little) when planting in any gear/rpm! i'm for certain when i get my upgraded clutch setup (talking of which spainels!) it will be alot quicker cos all the power is getting to the wheels all the time!
I think letting the clutch heat up first before full power is used helps.
I took andy (heavy modded LCR) out at the essex meet and he was shocked at the power the car produced, which is nice.

unforuntly spainel couldn't use full power cos the turbo was new but it was well planted (nice suspension setup) and you could feel the power ready to be released, in fact spainel what did you think of the remapped cupra?
i had a funny a counter yesterday thought i saw a st pulled up behid it, it was a zetec (1.4?)(not s or st) with home made put on st stripes that looked crap and also down the side.
he booted/flew (lol) off the lights and i didn't give chase pulled up next to him to turn left, as i looked in his direction he give me the smug smile as if to say " i beat you of the lights!"
he lives round here so his embarressment will be felt soon.
and also another day a young owner (st) at a roundabout hanging out his window egging me to follow and race him

i declined. he looked like a twat!
fiesta st young car thinks its fast but it not, look at figures a c2 vts should keep up!
dift=how are you finding the handling/grip?
the more i drive the better it is it has hardly any roll though corners grips nicely and you can throw it into corners. how you finding it? i'm going to get 22mm eibach ARB and coilovers in a year or soo but don't really know if it needs it , you're beeen to a track with it so let me know what the flaws/limits are
