Revo wouldn't flash over someone else's software so they flashed it to stock and we roadtested it first to ensure the car was fine which it was.
Then they had to remove the ecu to unlock it again.
Konzept at Glasgow charged my £399 in total.
I'm extremely pleased with the car now but annoyed I've paid £784 on software.
Especially when £385 of it was on software not fit for purpose.

That's fair enough. Maybe, since mine is running fine, it can just be re-flashed.
Who knows. Next step will be intake and exhaust for me, which would be a good time for a remap and maybe some minimal gains.

Save up some pennies first for a good while.

If you're ever down this end, would love to do a comparison.

I've got a new APR carbonio intake to fit to mine.
I've hung back fitting it until my car was sorted.
Tomorrows job

Ah excellent. Can you post an update on here on what the carbonio is like?
I'm guessing it won't make all too much difference on the diesel but who knows.

Just read through all of this and glad I did!

I was thinking about SEDOX as I was impressed with the organisation at the rolling road day and also know of a few people who have had good experiences. But something in the back of my mind said that I should go with REVO when mine is eventually mapped!

Hope everyone's cars are okay now though!

Well it's a lottery I guess. I've had nothing but good experiences with them. Services, de-DPF+remap and rolling road.
However, Marshall was properly left in the sh*t, and it seems they blatantly tweaked the rolling road for Darth Revan when he went to see what power his tuning box put down.

Yeah a lad I know of has had a A4 3.0tdi Quattro DPF removal and map to stage 2 and its excellent - he's really pleased with it.

I think I'm more likely to follow Marshall, though. I was planning on keeping the DPF in place and have read good things about the REVO software.

Not good to hear of blatant tweaking to create false results.

Good call.

The only reason I regret DPF removal is the soot on the tailgate. But I should be able to sort that with some good high-temp sealant which I ordered yesterday.

I do feel gutted I didn't go for Revo, even though my car is fine. It does make you wonder a bit

If the DPF becomes an issue then yeah, it will be removed, but at the minute I haven't seen any issues with it!

Won't be mapping for a year or so (that's what I say now, anyway) as I'm getting coilovers soon and will then be living off the £68 a week that student loans give me for a year!

The car has a bit more induction noise but sounds well.
I only fitted it this morning but it seems more responsive and looks sexy under the bonnet.
Expensive but nice

I like it!!
I'd ask for a video but I know it never records well.
Especially as the noise is only really present under load :(

Unless you can strap a recording device to the inside of the bonnet to record while driving heheh.

Good to hear there is some noticeable (positivr) difference in intake noise and performance.

Back on my list of to-dos
