Just wondering if I am the only person with interior that is mega creaky. Especially my doors/windows. I cant work out if its the plastic trim on the doors or the windows. When I put the windows down the noise seems to go away. The creaking is unbearable. I am going to have to put it in to get this problem fixed but wonder how many others are having this problem and was it fixed easily enough?

Mine does this also when the windows are up, I've put it down to general poor build quality but sometimes dropping the windows very slightly makes the noise go away.

Mines is terrible at the moment - majority of my creaks seem to be coming from the b pillars. :(
Gonna mention it next time its getting service.

I wouldn't buy another Ibiza - I've a friend with a 2007 Leon and its as solid as a rock - not a rattle from it.

Was a common problem on the BMW 1 Series, turned out to be an issue with the door seals. All three of mine had a problem although the FL version was much improved.

Try cleaning them and applying some form of dressing on the edges that touch the door frame, any old silicone based cleaner will do even pledge!! Also try cleaning the paintwork that the door seal touches and waxing it. Anyway worth a punt.......

I've been trying all day to stop my SC creaking.Removed the rear side trims, pillar trims, lower trim but to no avail.Found all the poly bags with foam in took them out still creaks.Put it all back together now, might have a go at the front door cards.

Yup creaky driver seat mechanism when it is lowered, and the drivers window seems to have some kind of weird creaky noise when it is closed.

The door card creaks in mine. A sharp jab with my elbow shuts it up or a while. The instrument dials also creak at times! Again a quick push sorts it out! I am still so pleased with mine that I can overlook those little quirks! At least it's tolerable whereas the quirk in my MK1 Ibiza wasn't! It would cut out every time I went round this one corner! Quite odd, lol!

I'm with you on that one mate. I wont be buying another one. My mums Leon seems to be put together better as well. Cant believe the lack of quality with this Ibiza. I can only imagine when I take mine to the dealership they will plead ignorant as if there isn't a problem

How do the rear side trims come off? I have a annoying creak from the rear passenger side one and was wondering how to remove it?

Cheers.

I wouldn't say Leon's are better built regarding the creaking. I have a MK1 LCR before the Boc and that creaked all the time, took loads of it apart and never got to the bottom of the problem it was still doing it when I chopped it in for the Boc.

There are lots I don't like about the Boc but I can't complain about build quality, my cabin has no odd noises at all, maybe apart from when I've had a kebab!

Think its one of those hit and miss things, I found in the LCR all the creaking went away when I turned the stereo up!

MKII is pretty much creak free, especially FL versions I have had two in a row my current one being completely creak free. The first had a slight buzz from the headlining were it was touching the windscreen, easily sorted.

My Cupra creaks and rattles around the B pillar area. On the passenger side it sounds like the metal part of the retracted seatbelt is tapping against the plastic trim but when I checked it doesn't seem to touch. It must be something inside the B pillar.

I noticed it last summer, it went away over winter and now that the weather is warmer the rattles are back again :(

I've had 3 Ibizas over the years MK3, 4 and 5, and they've all creaked or rattled to a greater or lesser extent. The MK3 was by far the worst, though apart from that it was extremely reliable. Subsequent models seem to be getting better and my current car is fairly quiet, but not rattle or creak free.

Guess it just seems to be a sad fact that poor build quality of Ibiza interiors are a fact of life, but thankfully it seems to be getting slowly better. My MK5 Golf I had for 3.5 years (from new) and it never had a single rattle in all that time.

Wonder if the facelift model will be any better??? I doubt it! lol ;)

Exactly....hit and miss, all depends had much Sangria Carlos had the night before when putting the car together!

Just sprayed the rubber seals with Autoglym Vinyl and Rubber care and Waxed the edges of the door that touch the seals. Seems to have helped the problem!
Thanks for the tip :)
