if it's anything like most company policies nowadays they are likely to have a high excess on the insurance policies (keeps premiums low) so will pay for the repairs anyway
have to wait and see what happens on accessment really but as you are the victim it's up to them to make sure you are satisfied
they won't just wheel it off for scrap and send you a cheque - you'll get correspondence for ages yet
insurance companies are good at dragging heels as it means the owner becomes desperate and agitated to get it over with and usually accepts a 1st (crap) settlement offer so stand ya ground and be patient
hold out mate no matter how long the insurance di*k you about!!
Mine was written off when it could have been repaired but I didn't have anywhere to store it so took the money, I pushed back 3 (£950, £1,450 & 1,950) settlement figures and got £2,650 off Admiral 2 years back, alot of this was due 3 black 16V cupra sports up for sale at the time for about £3K it took 4 months and alot of phone calls and researching but was worth it!!
The thing that I really couldn't get over was Admiral were the cheapest by far on the Golf I bought with the proceeds and my current Ibiza after paying out on me.....
