I've got the discs from the same people, CRN. Mine are grooved rather than drilled, with ds2500s.. they have been excellent so far. IIRC CRN use EBC plain discs and machine grooves or holes into them, so the quality level is as with EBC.

not really; it is more of a drone under braking, nothing too noticeable though. If you listen for the noise you hear it sort of thing.

With grooved or drilled disks you will get a droning sound under breaking and whilst driving you will get a noise that sounds like you've got a stone in your tyre (ticking noise)

crn use ebc discs and machine them is this true? just im getting my 312 front & 256 reaer upgrade done today and wondered what the discs were! be careful orderin online with them, they were having problems with the site when i ordered so best send an accompanying email or 3 if you order from them

This is the word on the street :cartman:

When i ordered, i exchanged emails before placing the order to get the appropriate deal; due to this i received my discs the next day :)

Be careful though as drilled disks do have a habit of cracking, i would stick to grooved disks myself for this reason. I think Badger Bill is of the same opinion since he only seems to supply grooved disks!

go grooved as a preference to drilled which will crack in use, starting with small cracks propogating from the cracks which get larger and longer and then all join up=bad thing
