Cruise Control?

Just been browsing the net and stumbled across this, have any of you fitted C.Control to your 180bhp 1.8T Seat Leon Cupra's?

What are your thoughts on the below??

There are quite a few threads about people doing this. Yes it can be done, its quite a fiddly job though, depending on how confident you are at taking your car apart. It my be worth getting it fitted.

If you buy the parts seperatly though, dont get ripped off on ebay. The stalks are only about £50.00 from the stealer.

have read some stories of poor fitment where the cable runs through the bulk head leading to leaks later.

cant comment on the ebay link. Im sure many tuners on here do it for only a little extra if you wanted more piece of mind.

I thought CC was standard on the car you quote - mine has it

which reminds me to say that ebay advert does not actually state cupra R on it. I presume you are just asking after the company doing the work?

I dont have a car yet but the car i quoted was just a Leon Cupra, which the one i viewed doesnt have cc on the car.......

CC works on 99% of VAGs woith DBW throttle, Cupra R's never had it fitted, not even as an option AFAIK.
And this fellas is a Cupra not an R.

Hi im having mine fitted next week by hazy days ltd(through there www) i guess the same people that the ebay ad is about. Seems all they do is specialise in VAG optional extras and if you believe their site the testimonials are great and they come to you. For myself they quoted £175 which is expensive but everythings included, i dont need to pay for fuel to get somewhere and its got a 2yr warranty. Closest other quote was £199 exc VAT so more like £235! If you can wait and want my opinion after its fitted next week drop me a PM.

Im actually not sure as ive scribbled 2 dates down on the booking lol its either thurs or friday and im in both days so doesnt matter. PM me sunday as will give me some time to give it a bit of a practise. Its goin into a cupra r 225 04 so its drive by wire.

You can buy the parts for less than 50quid to do this yourself, not a hard job!
Don't pay someone nearly 200quid to do it please!

ditto, he said he had a cupra R if you looked at his profile. (since been updated to an SRi...)


either that or i looked at the wrong profile..

anyway either way id personally pay the extra £15 or so and get a well known place to do it.
