A mechanic mate of mine sorted it for me...was at chappeltown at sheffield. Made a good job of it, let me know if you want it doing and i can have a word with him for you.

Could be the problem Roelích...mine started out grinding when going into reverse, then a knocking noise when depressed, and then just woudnt go into 1st or second when running. Does clutch pedel sit lower than others when resting??
Nice to see another Donny-cruiser on here aswell!!

Not too far from me. I may well be interested!

You in Doncaster, mate? You a member on Donny Cruise?

I'll have to have a look later about the pedal. If it does, I've never really noticed it before.

No it doesnt, it should sit in the same position and the same height as the brake pedal. If your pedal box has been repaired it should automatically sit back level, because i know mine did when i had mine repaired.

Mine sits nice and level now...but before i had it done it was a good few inches lower than the brake pedal, which was obviously due to the pedal box being snapped! That was the main thing that made me look at the pedal box and not the clutch itself (aswell as the help of members on here).

Im in sheffield mate. Im a member on donycruise...dont really post very often but usually keep up to date with the goings on.

When my pedal box was gone the clutch sat a good inch or so lower than the brake, because the box was snapped. A creaky clutch pedal is also a sympton according to my mate.
Let me know if you want his number, he's a good mechanic and charges fair prices aswell. If it turns out not to be the pedal box im sure he'd have a look at it for you and give you and let you know what was the problem.

Pedal Box Repair

Hi. Could you let me know your mechanic mate's number too please. my pedal box is poorly and it's not too far. Thanks

as well as the pedal box get the thrust bearing lever checked

they are on the end of the box under the green cap

runs on a splined shaft and has a habit of breaking/bending - common too
