Ctek cigarette charger

I need to charge the battery on my AUQ , and don't want to keep charging directly to the engine battery .does anyone know if the Ctek cigarette adapter works in Mk1 is the cigarette light socket live.

I've got that charger, id trust Ctek if they say they work, you could message them via support and see what they say

Yes that's a good idea never thought of emailing the company. I'm going to buy the CTEK MXS 3.8 UK Battery Charger.

I've got the old 7000 had it years , bought it for the extra features and does bigger battery's and it wasn't much more https://www.ctek.com/uk/battery-chargers-12v-24v/battery-chargers-leisure-and-sports/xs-7000-uk also made an extension cable for it with same plugs so i could hang it on the garage wall, don't think the cig charger pushes as much volts due too the cig lighter wiring is very thin

I would probably buy the Ctek time to charge battery charger if buying again. But the cigarette charger accessories does work but as you said not as quickly as direct charging
