hi guys is there anyway of putting a super charger or a turbo on a 8v cupra? if so which ones would you recommend?
cheers

eaton supercharger off of a mini cooper S will work niceley.

ye eaton conversion seems to be the simplest way, but will cost a fair bit and require bespoke parts to be made

if you dont do it properly it will never be right and youll spend a fortune trying to make it right.

if you do it properly it will cost a fortune and probably not deliver massive power gains unless you put more money in.

buy a 20vt either as a whole mk3 ibiza as above, or a 20vt lump and go that route,

my 2 pence :)

As above your going to spend twice the value of the car doing it, and probably that again getting it running reliably.

Sell up and buy something that already has 'da boost'

your about as likely to get your hands on the popes p()rn as you are a G60 engine.

nah you can get G60's i know ive got one, and ive spent money (albeit not silly money) doing it up.

i think G60'ing a mk2 ibiza is abit of a waste of time, now mk1/mk2 golfs ect its abit more retro and seems to go together better.

seen atleast 3 full G60 conversion sell around my area the last 2 months, ranging from £150 for one without the charger to £300 with.

agreed that it is a bit of a waste as turboing is a much easier way about it with much greater reliability. but each to their own :D i still prefere a track prept 1800 8v if im honest ;D

like above way to much money, if you put the eaton on and run it on a standard block your either going to have to run it a very low pressure or spend money on the engine, i dont think much hasnt been done conversion wise to ibiza's so alot of information is out there if you search

doing your own supercharger sounds cool, but is a pain in the ass!
as you have to get the right % belts for alternators etc, its alot more work then it sounds

vince g60's are not hard to get, i got offered loads, one with alot of work done (reciepts to prove) was worth like £700 but as i know him wanted £500, but i cannot afford it, he sold it in the end for £700 straight away!

but no point doing it like what's been said, it's cool and will sound great, but do you wanna get stupid MPG and cost like £2-3k?
