To ask a really stupid question, but i'd rather ask then waste money...

I bought some Audi TT brakes and callipers, 312MM for the front, they are all fine, but what pads do I get. I am guessing their are specific Audi TT caliper pads (I've never done a brake change before) and i've looked on ebay, some are around the 80£ for EBC red but UI phoned a local car shop and I said a 2004 1.8 turbo Autid TT (which I think has these discs and calipers on them [maybe someone can confirm that]) and he quoted me £25-30 odd for a front set.

I just want to make sure I get the correct ones. I think someone quoted me a part number of DS31330C or something along those lines, but a search on ebay drew nothing for me. Can someone recommend pads for these callipers that they know fit, I don't mind spending a few pounds for a good set

Many Thanks

You need to fine you what model TT the calipers come off mate as there are two different sizes. One runs 312mm discs which is the 180 model I think (the ones your will have come off) and the other runs 323mm discs which I think is the 225 model.

Discs are about the same price I payed for mine mate so I'd say its a good price for front and rear discs.

As for pads, I would got some DS2500's off Bill and some standard rear pads from GSF as the rear does not do much braking. DS2500 are very good pads for both road and track.

Damoegan, thanks, they are 315mm so deff the 180 version which I thought they where. Would the pads you recommended smee also fit mine?

Thanks ;)

Yes and no mate. You can get DS2500 pads for your setup but there not the same as ours. The calipers on mine and Lee's car are AP Racing 4 pot calipers so are different to your TT 2 pot calipers. Good news is the DS2500 pads should be cheaper for you.

ahh this is confusing :(

Think I might just get some EBC red from ebay as I can find some Audi TT EBC red stuff on there and it says for 180 so must be 2 pot i'm guessing
