Hey i own a 1.9 TDi and i love it but i have acquired a cupra GTi without engine!!! i was just wanting to know if i can transfer the GTi clocks (speedo, rev counter est) into my TDI as the GTI has the mpg calculator and are sporty looking. Can this be done? im also going to transfer other bit onto my TDI but this is the 1 i think im going to have the most trouble with.

I have them with working MPG but I swapped the original tdi clock faces into the gti clocks and swapped the eeprom over from a set of tdi clocks. If you don't mind having the rev counter that goes all the way round to 7 then just try plugging them in to start with and see if they work. More info on mfa wiring here, ask me if you want to know more. http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=190699

awesome thanks for the thread i have read it and looks like an easy sort of job. Basically i have a friend who had a VW MK1 caddy with blown engine so he has bought himself a MK2 cupra GTi and has asked me to put the engine, gearbox, suspention and breaks on the caddy. As payment he said i can have the rest of the cupra :D so i will want to put the cupra clocks in my TDi stalks and all. i will keep you in mind if i have any issues.

If they don't work just plugged straight in I can show you what you need to do to change the eeprom in the clocks so they can work.
