I Just drove my friend's Revo'd Cupra R producing over 260 BHP.

All I can say is, it is undrivable apart from the straights! Traction Control on all the time otherwise! I knocked off the ESP, and the wheel spin ruined it! What a waste of money imo!

use your right foot to adjust the amount of power, the throttle does more than on/off, my Revo LCR was useable 365 days a year

No sorry, I was not happy with this, maybe down to my driving skills - or lack of them! It felt like a Type R in the wet - well maybe not that bad - but did not give me that much confidence Rud!

roads seem especially slippery at the mo... so anything with power & torque is asking a lot of traction.

was sideways coming off a roundbout earlier coming out of chelt... drifting a fwd car.. most odd conditions. low speed ~30-40mph but well slippery

I can second that Bill. There has been alot of discussion recently about poor traction due to the greasy roads esp in diesels!

Like rudd has already said its all in the right foot;)

Feed it in rather than just go full throttle and you can control it much more easier:)

Yup Rudd and Mitch are correct, feed it and its more controlable. I also agree with the greasy roads, i simply cant get the power down at the mo so have to feed the power more than usual.

I can vouch for the diesel and cr4p on the road after slipping on my ar5e after a night out and getting covered in oil, diesel etc and it was on a roundabout!

You just need to adjust your driving in the wet, my mondeo wheelspins more than my LCR in the wet

Gentle application of the throttle is producing much TCS/Wheelspin even in a Revo'd LC at the moment! I gently accelerated out of a roundabout yesterday in second and was presented with major TCS light flashing!!
If I'd have attacked it like I might usually have I hate to think what would have happend.

aimed at those with diffs fitted:-
Would a diff in this weather prevent silly wheel spin and get all the power down.

I am finding the more I drive my cupra, the more I get used to it, the more I can put the power down (it's only a 180bhp leon), yes it's much harder to do in the cold and wet, but it's doable.

Just be a bit less binary with teh far right pedal :)

No - I am wrong - I was very drunk earlier when i had a go - I am now sobering up! And yes it was me and not the car!

Sorry!

Mark.
Hows about learning to drive with a bit of control!!!

Sounds to me like it's your driving skill that will only let you use it on the straights!!

Your right revo is a waste of money.........for a driver with your skill!!
